The UCSC Sequencing Center, directed by biomolecular engineer Nader Pourmand, was highlighted by Genome Web's In Sequence.

The article, focussing on the center being ready to assist outside labs with their sequencing needs, discusses the center with coordinator Elizabeth Mitchel and director Nader Pourmand.  Professor Pourmand notes the unique opportunity at UCSC to work with his new sequencing center on developing data and Professor David Haussler's renowned UCSC Center for Biomolecular Science and Engineering while analyzing data.
